Pinnacle String Ensemble is open to Western Carolina University students who are music and non-music majors who play an orchestral string instrument. University students will enroll in MUS 374 Orchestra. Pinnacle String Ensemble also includes members of the community with experience on string instruments. Our current members are from Cullowhee, Sylva, Franklin and Andrews, North Carolina.
The repertoire is generally at the intermediate level.
