The Pinnacle String Ensemble is always looking for talented musicians to join our orchestra! Pinnacle String Ensemble also includes members of the community with experience on string instruments. Our current members are from Cullowhee, Sylva, Franklin and Andrews, North Carolina. 

With Thursday evening rehearsals from 6:00 pm - 7:15 pm on the campus of Western Carolina University, we produce two concerts per semester term at area venues performing varied repertoire. We are looking for a good level of orchestral experience and commitment. The repertoire is generally at the intermediate level.

Pinnacle String Ensemble is also open to Western Carolina University students who are music and non-music majors who play an orchestral string instrument. University students will enroll in MUS 374 Orchestra.

 

First rehearsal for the Fall 2025 season begins on Thursday, August 21 at 6:00 pm in Coulter 173/Band Room in the School of Music.
